Zimbabwe is aiming to offer more opportunities for talented citizens to showcase their skills by presenting innovative ideas to boost the country’s rural industrialisation drive to hit Vision 2030 targets.
President Mnangagwa reinforced his confidence in local talent to submit solutions to the country’s challenges, and said Zimbabwe was already on the path of sustainable growth and socioeconomic transformation bolstered by new projects supported by local innovations.
New projects fuelling the government’s inclusive growth and the country’s rural development initiative will be finalised along with Zimbabwe’s push to complete projects rapidly to boost socio-economic growth.
"It is because we are giving opportunities to our people who are talented to develop our country. The Second Republic will continue to create conducive conditions for our people to innovate and produce goods and services using local resources,” the President stated.
He added that the ongoing drive to make the most of local talent to guide the country towards Vision 2030 was motivated by the notion that only Zimbabweans could develop their nation using their own resources.
Moreover, President Mnangagwa has urged for additional factories and plants to be established in other parts of the country to process available resources.
"Our country is on an unstoppable growth trajectory. We are unstoppable because in areas where masawu are found in abundance like Mt Darwin, we will make sure factories and plants are opened for processing and value addition both for the local and export markets to earn our country the much-needed foreign currency."
Via rural industrialisation and infrastructural development, Zimbabwe’s government aims to attract skilled professionals in rural areas to accelerate the goal of making the country an upper-middle income society by 2030.
"Our national vision of a prosperous and empowered upper-middle income economy by 2030 entails uplifting the people in every part of our great country, in particular those in rural areas and growth points," the President added.
